An artistic journey through the Thousand Islands, entitled: 'The River'

This production represents my artistic capture of the Thousand Islands region this past year and many of the scenes I was drawn to. You will soon see it is not simply a tourist video of sunny summer boating but what I would describe as an 'atmospheric' look at various scenes that may be found on the river and along the shores. Please allow me to share my love of this area with you.

Many of the images would make stunning custom prints and most can be found in the various Marine Galleries.

Strictly high performance boats are presented in the AV Production: 'Ride Across the River'

On the water and around the docks, I have presented a variety of image styles in this production. A broad range of photographic and digital editing techniques have been used to present these magnificent vessels in the best light. Some effects are subtle and others have a little more drama. The seven minute video contains a blend of broad action shots to static scenes and graphic details so the viewer can experience what it is like to be around these vessels. Marine photography is certainly not my only area of interest. Night time offers many challenges to a photographer.

I have added my eleven minute AV Production, 'Christmas Light' to the Events Gallery. Many photographs in the latter half of the video were taken using the HDR (High Dynamic Range) technique. This involves taking about seven pictures of the same image at varying exposures to capture all the detail over a broad contrast range, from the darkness to the bright lights.
